world famous historic and heritage sites. Kircubbin is conveniently placed on the beautiful Ards Peninsula near Strangford Lough, an important bird sanctuary renowned for its dramatic views and diverse plant and wild life. To the South lie the Mountains of Mourne, and to the North the visitor is approximately 20 minutes drive from the historic market town of Newtownards with its unmistakable landmark, the Scrabo Tower. Another 10 minutes or so further North lie the outskirts of Greater Belfast with all the attractions and activities that lively City has got to offer. Golf, sailing, fishing, bird watching, cycling, country walking are all within the immediate area. |
